Affordable social media management that survives a slow month: the case for one yearly price
Affordable social media management has to survive your slowest month. Why one yearly price suits a salon better than a monthly bill, and what you need.

The first week of every month at a salon has its own routine. Rent for the shop. The electricity bill, higher than you expected because the dryers and the AC ran all day. Salaries for the stylists and the helper. The product supplier's invoice for shampoos, colour and wax. Each payment has a reason you can point to.
Then there is the bill you keep not signing up for. Whenever you have looked into affordable social media management, the number that came back from a freelancer or a small agency was often several thousand rupees a month. Set beside rent and salaries, it never feels urgent. So the salon's Instagram stays where it was: a handful of bridal photos from last season and nothing since.
That is not a careless decision. It is a reasonable one, made against a pricing model that does not fit how a salon earns. This guide looks at why monthly billing is the wrong shape for most small businesses, what part of "management" you actually need, and how to budget for a whole year of posts once.
What "affordable" should really mean for a salon
A price is not affordable because it looks small on one good month. It is affordable when you can keep paying it in your worst month without a second thought.
Salon income moves with the calendar. The wedding season brings bridal trials, family packages and back-to-back bookings. Festival weeks fill every chair. Then come the quiet stretches, often in the monsoon, when walk-ins thin out and you watch every expense.
A monthly social media bill lands at the same size in all of those months. In the busy weeks you can afford it, but you barely have time to look at your page. In the slow weeks you finally have time, and the bill is the first thing you want to cut. Either way, the arrangement works against you.
So when you compare options, ask one question before any other: can I keep this going through a slow monsoon month without thinking twice? If the answer is no, it is not affordable for your salon, whatever the number says.
The trouble with paying for posts month by month
Monthly billing ties your posts to your payments. That sounds fair until you notice what it does in practice.
- The page stops when the payment stops. Skip one month because cash is tight, and your posts stop in exactly the weeks you most need customers to remember you.
- You make the decision twelve times a year. Every renewal is another chance to pause, reconsider or drop it. Small costs are often dropped exactly this way, one month at a time.
- The busy season gets squeezed. Everyone wants festival posts in the same few weeks. A provider juggling many clients can be stretched just when you need them most.
- You never know the full cost up front. Over a year, small monthly amounts quietly add up to a large one, and price changes can arrive at any renewal.
None of this means a monthly provider is dishonest. It means the monthly shape suits work that genuinely changes every month, such as running paid ads or replying to messages for you. A steady post every day is not that kind of work. It is the same need, every day, all year.
The founder of Content365, Divyaprakash Jha, sees the monthly habit as something the market invented. "The market made social media look like a monthly service you can never stop paying for," he says. "It is not that hard, and it should not cost that much."
You may not need "management" at all
The phrase "social media management" covers a lot. A full package from an agency may include planning, design, captions, posting, replying to comments, handling messages, running ads and sending a monthly report. Our guide to social media agency cost in India breaks down what a retainer usually covers.
Now look at what most salons actually need, day to day:
- A good-looking post for each day, with the salon's name and logo on it.
- A caption to paste with it, ideally in English and Hindi.
- Festival and wedding-season posts ready before the rush, not after it.
- Someone at the salon who can post it in a couple of minutes.
The last line is the one people forget. Posting a finished picture with a ready caption takes about as long as replying to one booking enquiry on WhatsApp. Your receptionist can do it between appointments. The expensive part was never pressing "share". It was making the post in the first place.
So the most affordable social media management, for many small businesses, keeps the part you cannot do quickly, which is making a good post every day, and drops the part you can do yourself, which is posting it. You keep your passwords, you stay in control of your page, and you stop paying every month for work you could do in two minutes.
Budget for it once, like your AC service contract
Many salon owners already pay at least one cost by the year without fuss: the annual maintenance contract for the air conditioners, or a yearly service plan for equipment. You decide once, you pay once, and you stop thinking about it until next year.
Your posts can be handled the same way. Here is a simple method:
- Pick the month you will decide in. Choose a month when cash is comfortable, for many salons just after the wedding or festival rush, and make it your social media month.
- Write the yearly cost in your annual budget, next to the AMC and other once-a-year payments, so it is planned rather than a surprise.
- Check what you would keep if you stopped. A yearly plan should leave you with files you own, not a page that goes silent the day you stop paying.
- Make one person responsible for posting, with a fixed time each day, so the plan you paid for actually reaches your page.
Then use the year according to your season. This table shows how the same daily post supports a salon through very different months.
| Kind of month | What it feels like at the salon | What your page should be doing |
|---|---|---|
| Wedding-season months | Bridal trials, family bookings, full weekends | Bridal looks, family packages, early booking reminders |
| Festival weeks around Navratri and Diwali | Every chair taken, long days | Greetings ready on the day, festive looks, extended timings |
| Summer heat | Steady walk-ins for cooling treatments | Skin and hair care in the heat, quick services |
| Monsoon weeks | Fewer walk-ins, more time to spare | Hair care for humid days, gentle offers, staying visible |
| Year-end | Parties and functions | Party looks, last-minute appointment slots |
The row that matters most is the monsoon one. The slow months are when a monthly bill is easiest to cut, and when a quiet page costs you most, because customers deciding where to go next season are watching.

One yearly price, in plain numbers
Content365 works on exactly this once-a-year idea. You share your salon's details a single time, the name, the kind of business, the logo and a website if there is one, and the studio builds your whole year from them. You pay ₹3,999 including GST for the whole year, once. There is no monthly charge.
Here is everything that price covers and everything that can cost more, so there are no surprises:
- 365 posts for one brand, one for every day of the year, each a 1080 x 1350 picture ready for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X and WhatsApp.
- Captions every day for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X, plus Hindi.
- Your real logo and details, placed on each picture by the studio from the exact text you gave. The image model paints only the scene and never redraws your logo.
- Indian festivals and the financial year placed on their actual days in your calendar.
- A private gallery where every day waits for your review. Posting is done by you or your team; Content365 never touches your pages.
- One download folder with every picture, captions.csv, prompts.csv, calendar.csv, and a gallery that opens on any phone.
- A second salon or a separate brand is the same ₹3,999 including GST, with its own year of posts.
- Hosting for the first 90 days after you pay. To keep the year online beyond that costs ₹3,000 a year before GST; skip it and the downloaded folder is still yours.

"We did not want a shop owner to worry about one more bill every month," says Divyaprakash Jha, Founder & CEO of Content365. "₹3,999 including GST for the whole year means everyone can show up every day."
If you prefer to think in daily numbers, that works out to about ₹11 a day. Our post on what a year of social media should cost shows how to put any quote into the same per-day terms.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a monthly fee with Content365?
No. You pay once for the year: ₹3,999 including GST per brand, which comes to about ₹11 a day. Nothing is billed monthly.
What does affordable social media management usually leave out?
It depends on the provider, so read the quote. Common gaps are festival posts beyond a set number, captions in more than one language, and a post for every day rather than a few a week.
Does Content365 manage my salon's Instagram?
No. Think of it as a replacement for the expensive part of a retainer rather than an agency. It makes the posts and captions, and your team does the posting after you have checked each one.
What happens if I do not renew hosting after 90 days?
You keep the downloaded folder with every picture, all the captions and the calendar. Renewing hosting is optional, at ₹3,000 a year before GST.
Can I try it before I budget for it?
Yes. Every 48 hours the free plan gives you 2 posts made for your salon, with nothing to pay. Sign in with Google and start free.
Pay once, then forget the bill
A salon already juggles enough monthly payments. Your social media does not have to be one more of them. Try the free posts on your own salon first, then, when you are ready, see the yearly plan and put it in your budget once, or compare what each extra brand costs if you run more than one salon.
