It is the second week of admissions. The office phone has rung all morning with the same three questions: what are the fees, is there a van to our sector, and what age do you take for nursery. A parent at the gate says she found the school on Instagram but the last post was the Annual Day from eight months ago. Your coordinator is handling parents, your teachers are teaching, and the person who "does the Facebook page" left in March. School social media posts were supposed to help with exactly this moment, and the page has nothing to show.

This guide is for principals, preschool owners and school coordinators who want a page that answers parents' questions and shows a living school, without putting one more task on a teacher who already has none to spare.

What parents look for in school social media posts

Parents choosing a school, and especially a preschool or play school, are making a careful, emotional decision. Before they visit, they check your page for signs of a school that is safe, warm and well run. They look for:

  • Safety and care. Gates, CCTV if you have it, trained staff, clean washrooms, how pick-up works.
  • A clear daily routine. What a child actually does from arrival to home time.
  • Teachers. Who they are, how they speak to children, how the school trains them.
  • Communication. How the school keeps parents informed: diaries, apps, PTMs, WhatsApp groups.
  • Facilities. Classrooms, play area, library, activity rooms, transport.
  • Fees and process. Even if you do not post fees, they want to know the steps and dates to ask about.

A page with regular, calm, informative posts answers most of these before the phone rings. That is what good school social media posts do: they build trust slowly, every week, so admission season is easier.

Children's photos: the rule that comes first

Before any ideas, one rule. Do not post identifiable photographs of children without written consent from their parents. Put a clear consent form in your admission pack, keep a list of which children may be shown, and respect parents who say no. Many schools go further and only show children from behind, at a distance, or as hands at work on a craft.

This is also why a lot of your posts do not need children in them at all. Classrooms, books, activity corners, the garden, a teacher's desk, the school bus and the gate at morning arrival all tell your story without showing a single child's face. When in doubt, leave the child out of the picture.

School admission posts: a plan for the busy season

Admission timing varies by board, state and school type, so plan around your own dates. Many schools in India open nursery and pre-primary admissions some months before the academic year that often begins around April or June. Start posting early: parents decide long before the forms close.

StageWhat parents needPost ideas
Before admissions openAwareness"Admissions opening soon for the new session", what makes your school different
Admissions openProcessSteps to apply, documents needed, age criteria, who to call
During admissionsReassuranceCampus tour invitation, a day in the life, your teachers, safety measures
Interaction or visit daysLogisticsDates and timings of open days, parking, what to bring
Closing weeksGentle urgency, honest"Last few weeks to apply" only if it is true
After admissionsWelcomeWelcome messages for new families, orientation dates, first-day tips

School admission posts should be honest. Do not say "limited seats" unless they are. Do not claim ranks or awards you cannot show. Parents talk to each other, and trust lost in one WhatsApp group is hard to win back.

Preschool marketing ideas for every week

Preschools and play schools have a special job: they are often a family's first school, and parents are nervous. These preschool marketing ideas focus on comfort and routine.

  • Our day, step by step. Circle time, free play, snack time, story time, nap, home time.
  • Settling-in tips. How to say goodbye at the door, what to pack, how long settling usually takes.
  • What we learn through play. Sand, water, blocks, music: explain the skill behind each.
  • Healthy tiffin ideas. Simple, practical, not a nutrition lecture.
  • Meet the teacher. With the teacher's permission: a photo and a short line about her.
  • Parent tips at home. Reading together, screen-time habits, sleep routines, said gently and generally.
  • Safety corner. Soft flooring, child-height washrooms, hand-washing habits, the pick-up card system.
  • Theme of the week. Colours, animals, fruits, community helpers.

Play school Instagram works best when it feels warm and personal. A short Hindi caption alongside English often feels more natural for grandparents, who are frequently the ones doing pick-up.

School event posts and the yearly calendar

School event posts are the easiest to plan because your calendar already exists. Fixed national days fall on the same dates every year: Republic Day on 26 January, Independence Day on 15 August, Teachers' Day usually on 5 September, Children's Day usually on 14 November and Christmas on 25 December. Festivals like Holi, Raksha Bandhan, Janmashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Navratri, Diwali and Eid move each year, so check the year's dates before you plan.

Who should run the school page

Many schools hand the page to whichever teacher is "good with phones". That works for a term, then stops. A steadier setup:

  1. One owner. The coordinator or an office staff member who checks and posts. Not the busiest teacher.
  2. A weekly rhythm. For example: Monday a learning post, Wednesday a parent tip, Friday a facility or safety post, plus event days.
  3. A consent list. Kept in the office, checked before any photo with a child goes up.
  4. A ready store of posts. So the page never stops when the owner is on leave or exams take over.

How Content365 keeps your school page alive

Content365 makes 365 branded posts for your school or preschool, one for every day of the year, for ₹3,999 including GST. That covers one brand for the whole year, not a monthly fee. A second branch with its own name is also ₹3,999 including GST. See pricing for the details.

  • No children's faces needed. An image model paints a scene with no text in it: a bright classroom, books, an activity corner, a school gate in morning light. The studio's compositor then places your real logo, school name, phone, website and call to action on top, from the exact text you gave. Your crest is never redrawn by the model.
  • Ready for every platform. Each post is one 1080 x 1350 (4:5) image with a square-safe centre, ready for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X and WhatsApp.
  • Captions in English and Hindi. Every day has captions for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X, plus Hindi.
  • Festivals planned in. Indian festivals and the financial year are planned into the calendar on the days they fall.
  • Not the same template. 365 angles across 5 lenses give 1,825 concepts in 21 angle families, mixed across the year. Near-duplicate pictures are rejected.
  • Checked pictures. A vision model checks every picture for stray text and problems, with up to 3 tries per day. A day that never passes still arrives, with a visible warning.
  • Honest claims only. Ratings, awards and results appear only when you confirmed them.

You review each day in your own gallery first. We do not post on your pages: your office posts them, so you stay in control of what parents see. Everything comes in one download folder with all pictures, captions.csv, prompts.csv, calendar.csv and a gallery that opens on any phone. Hosting lasts 90 days from payment, then ₹3,000 a year before GST, or keep the folder.

Your own event photos, with consent, fit in between. The daily school social media posts keep the page steady; your real moments make it personal. Try it first on the free plan: 2 posts for your brand every 48 hours, with no payment. Sign in with Google to start free, or see the yearly plan for schools.

Frequently asked questions

How often should a school post on social media?

Three to five times a week is a comfortable rhythm for most schools, with extra posts on event days and during admissions. Regular, calm posts build more trust than a burst of photos after Annual Day and silence for months.

Can a school post photos of students?

Only with written consent from parents, and only of children whose parents agreed. Many schools avoid faces altogether and show classrooms, crafts and activities instead.

What should preschool admission posts include?

Age criteria, the steps to apply, documents needed, open-day timings and who to call. Add reassurance posts about safety, routine and settling in, because first-time parents are often nervous.

Do Content365 posts show children?

The daily pictures are scenes made by an image model around your school's theme, such as classrooms, books and campus spaces, with your real logo and details placed on top. You review every day before posting and can skip any you do not want.

Will Content365 post on our school page?

No. Nothing posts by itself. Your staff review each day in the gallery and post it, on the school's own accounts.
