Whenever I talk about Content365, someone asks me a version of the same question. On a stage it gets framed as a contest, AI vs social media agency, as if one side has to lose. In a WhatsApp group of business owners it sounds more personal. Should I keep paying for help, or can a tool do this now? And somewhere in that same group, a freelancer who designs posts for several of the members is quietly wondering what next year will look like.

Both questions are fair, and both come from real worry about money and work. Making AI tools is my job, so I am not a neutral judge. That is exactly why I want to be careful about what AI can do here, and where it stops being useful.

Two questions hiding inside one

Listen closely to that question and you hear two separate worries tied together.

The first belongs to people in the industry: is my livelihood at risk?

The second belongs to owners: after years of being priced out, can I finally have help I can afford?

Both deserve a straight answer. But I think the debate has been aimed at the wrong target. It treats "social media" as one solid block of work. It is not. It is several different jobs tied together in one bundle, and AI is very good at some of them and of little use for others. Once you separate the jobs, the answer becomes much clearer.

What AI now does well: the daily post

Where small businesses get stuck is the post itself, every morning: an image, a headline, a caption, and a greeting whenever the calendar calls for one. There is no week off from it. Owners plan to do it after lunch, then after closing, and by the time they sit down a festival has come and gone without a word on the page.

That is the job AI has become genuinely good at, as long as the tool is built with care. My team and I worked for a decade on Python, machine learning and AI projects for commercial clients before Content365. When we turned to the daily post, we found a problem whose price had grown far larger than the work.

Handling your social media is not a big deal. The market has made it a big deal, and it charges people for that. We are AI techies, and we built Content365 to challenge that belief.

Here is what that looks like. You fill in your business details one time: name, industry, logo and website. Content365 then produces 365 images, one per day, each with captions for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and X and a Hindi version, and the calendar already holds Indian festivals and the financial year on their correct days. Behind the year sit 1,825 concepts grouped into 21 angle families. Pictures that come out too alike are rejected, so the page never feels like one template on repeat.

The care matters most where AI tools often slip. Generic image tools can redraw a logo badly or misspell a business name, which we wrote about in our look at AI social media post generators. So in Content365 the image model is allowed to paint the scene and nothing more, with no words in it. The studio's compositor then sets your actual logo, name, phone, website and offer onto the picture, using exactly what you typed. After that, a vision model looks over each picture for stray lettering or other faults, and every day gets up to three attempts to pass.

The full year comes to ₹3,999 including GST for one brand, or about ₹11 a day. At that price, the daily post moves off the list of things a small business has to budget hard for.

What still needs people

Fairness matters here. This industry has plenty of skilled, hard-working people, and their best work has little to do with daily templates.

Here is what a good agency or freelancer brings that a calendar of posts cannot:

  • Time with the owner to understand who buys, why, and what those customers need to hear.
  • A plan for a launch, an opening or a big campaign, carried through to the end.
  • Photos and video shot on location, in the shop, the clinic or the office.
  • Replies to customers, and a calm hand when a complaint turns public.
  • Paid ads, with someone watching the spend and switching off what is not working.
  • A feel for local taste, such as knowing that a line which amuses one city may offend another.
  • Relationships and judgement that took years to build.

A year of posts produces none of this, and Content365 was never meant to. It never posts on anyone's pages, and it does not run ads, answer comments or look after accounts. Its job is the year of posts; everything else stays with the owner, or with whoever the owner hires.

So my honest answer is this. People who bring judgement are not about to be replaced. What AI takes away is the grind: resizing the same layout for the fifth platform, rewriting the same Diwali wish for the tenth client, late at night in October or November.

Who should do what: a practical split

If you run a business, this is how I would divide the work today:

TaskYou, the ownerA year of AI-made postsAn agency or freelancer
A branded post for every dayReview it and share itMakes itNot needed for this
Captions for each platform, plus HindiPick and tweakWrites themOptional polish
Festival and financial-year greetingsCheck any offerPlanned on the dayNot needed for this
Pressing "post" and replying to commentsYesNoIf you hire them for it
A photo or video shootArrange itNoYes
Paid adsSet the budgetNoYes
A launch or a big campaignSet the goalKeeps the everyday posts going around itPlans and runs it
A complaint made in publicYesNoCan advise

From that table, three simple rules follow:

  1. If your page only needs to look alive and cared for every day, and you are happy to post yourself, a year of finished posts is enough on its own.
  2. If you are launching, running ads or want someone to speak to customers for you, an agency or freelancer is worth paying, for those things specifically.
  3. If you already pay someone, ask them to spend their hours on shoots, campaigns and replies, and let the daily posts arrive ready-made.

If you are still weighing costs, our guide to social media agency cost in India sets out the usual ways agencies and freelancers price their work. Agency help is often several thousand rupees a month, but it can include services a year of posts does not.

What this means for agencies and freelancers

If this is your industry, think of AI as the thing that takes the dullest hours off your week. Clients should be paying for your ideas, not for the same template refilled each morning. Once daily production is off your desk, those hours can go to planning, to creative work only a person can judge, and to the client relationships that last.

Content365 works one brand at a time, which maps neatly to one client at a time, and each extra brand is the same ₹3,999 including GST. Instead of producing every post by hand, you review and fine-tune a year that is already made. We have written a full guide on producing a year of posts for every client, and you can see the price per brand before you plan.

Owners get time back too, and it goes where it counts: the customer at the counter, the patient who needs a little longer, the client with a knotty question. Loyalty is earned in those moments, face to face, and a post cannot do that work for anyone.

We want every independent business in this country to get the quality that big brands get, for ₹3,999 including GST for the whole year.

Frequently asked questions

Will AI replace social media agencies?

Not the good ones, in my view. AI now handles the repetitive daily production well. Strategy, shoots, ads, replies to customers and local judgement still need people, and those are the services good agencies are worth paying for.

Is AI or an agency cheaper for a small business?

A year of posts from Content365 is ₹3,999 including GST for one brand. Agencies and freelancers often charge several thousand rupees a month, but that can include ads, posting and replies, which a year of posts does not. Compare what you actually need, not just the price.

Can I use Content365 alongside an agency?

Yes. The posts can cover the everyday calendar while the agency spends its time on shoots, ads and campaigns. An agency or freelancer can also use Content365 for its own clients, one brand at a time.

Does Content365 post for me or reply to my customers?

No. Each day waits in your private gallery until you, or someone on your team, shares it. Content365 does not post, run ads, reply to comments or manage accounts.

How can I judge the quality before deciding?

Use the free plan, which gives you 2 posts for your brand every 48 hours without any payment. Sign in with Google and look at posts made with your own logo, or browse the showcase first.

So, will AI replace the agency?

For agencies and freelancers who bring real judgement, no. For the part of everyone's week that was only ever repetition, yes, and I think that is good news on both sides. Owners: test it on your own brand first, and when you are happy, see the yearly plan. Agency and freelance friends: take a look as well, and work out how many hours a week it could hand back to you.
